How to Fold Cloth Diapers

Folding Flat Cloth Diapers

 

Triangle Fold - requires one pin or Snappi Fastener

1.      Fold pre fold down to make a square.

2.      Fold square in half to make triangle.

3.      Lay baby on diaper with the point of the triangle towards you and the long edge on the baby's back.

4.      Bring the point up between the baby's legs.

5.      Bring the other points around to the front and pin or snappi all three points together.

 

No Pin Cover Fold

1.      Fold pre fold into thirds.

2.      Lay folded diaper into cover.

3.      Spread open the back slightly for better coverage.

4.      If it is too long for the cover, fold down the front to fit, (this also gives extra absorbancy in the front).

5.      Fasten cover snugly.

 

Standard Pinned Fold - requires two pins or one Snappi Fastener

1.      Lay pre fold flat in front of you

2.      Fold in sides of the pre fold on the end closest to you.

3.      Fold up the front (the part you just folded in) 1/3 of the way.

4.      Lay baby on diaper and bring diaper up between baby's legs.

5.      Bring back sides to front and pin each side with a diaper pin or fasten with a snappi fastener
